Primary Design Wins Prestigious Design and Marketing Award from the National Association of Home Builders March 25th, 2009 Haverhill, MA: Primary Design, Inc., a brand design and management firm, today announced it, along with client AvalonBay Communities, is the recipient of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Pillars of the Industry Award, which honors the best in multifamily design, from low-rise to mixed-use, in rentals and condos. The awards also showcase the best marketing campaigns and the industry's top developers and property managers.

Primary Design was presented with "The Best Overall Leasing Campaign" award at the NAHB annual conference for its work with national client AvalonBay Communities (NYSE: AVB). The design firm's "It's a new morning" marketing campaign was created for Avalon Morningside Park, a luxury, high-rise apartment community located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of New York City. The Morningside Park development was the first major new residential construction in Morningside Heights in decades, making a notable contribution to the renaissance of the area, which borders Manhattan's Upper West Side and Harlem.

The Pillars of the Industry Awards recognize leading companies in the multifamily housing industry that demonstrate excellence in apartment and condo design, development, marketing and management. The NAHB is a Washington-based trade association representing more than 200,000 members involved in home building, remodeling, multifamily construction, property management, subcontracting, design, housing finance, building product manufacturing and other aspects of residential and light commercial construction.
